Creative Digital Photography: Advanced
What you already need to know
This course is suitable for more advanced photographers who are confident with the use of their camera functions but are wanting to delve deeper into the creative potential of photography.
To make the most of this course, learners need a digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera or mirrorless camera.
What you will learn
The course will delve into one creative theme over the 8 week period. You will learn how other photographers from the 20th century, as well as contemporary photographers, have approached the subject. By studying these works I hope to inspire students to become more creative and bolder with their photography. Themes under taken in the past have included, architectural photography, portraiture, dynamic light and shade and photography and the filmic.
Each 2 hour session is divided into two segments. The first seeks to inspire and delves into the creative and technical aspects of the work of various photographers. The second segment is a group review of students work, seeking ways for the work to be developed and encourage creative and critical thinking.
The group boasts some very creative photographers, all of whom are very welcoming and supporting of new comers.
Spaces are very limited on this course but I am happy to expand provision if demand is high enough.
