Creative Photography #1.1

Project 1 Water Part 2 One of the reasons I am so keen for you to research around these photographic subjects is so you can be inspired to attempt things you might not have previously considered. The previous “oil and water” shot resulted in this student image. Never be afraid to copy an image, it will teach you a great deal about how to dissect an existing images and construct one of you own. There will be plenty of opportunity for approaching this subject in any genre of photography! One of the reasons I have chosen this project is the terrible inclement English weather at this time of year. But this is not a reason not to get out and make photograph. Take this shot by Elliott Erwitt, or the many rainy day images of Henri Cartier-Bresson? His street life pictures wouldn’t have been the same without rain. If photographing in the rain, use a umbrella and it is possibly best to invest in water proof bag for your camera. Easily found on line or improvised! Another option is to photography after the rain has stopped taking advantage of the reflective surfaces! More on this later!
